In the living room of the feminist library, interdisciplinary artist Jasmine Tutum will create a sensory space in which the words of US-American poet, essayist and activist Audre Lorde (1934–1992, in her own words:’Black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet’) can be experienced.
The event is planned as a shared listening connection: there will be a 45-minute block of concentrated reading and listening, but visitors are invited to come and go as they please and engage with the texts on display in their own way and at their own pace.
The reading will be held in English.
Admission and drinks are on a donation basis.

Im Wohnzimmer der feministischen Bibliothek wird die interdisziplinäre Künstlerin Jasmine Tutum einen klanglich-sinnlichen Raum schaffen, in dem die Worte der US-amerikanischen Schriftstellerin und Aktivistin
Audre Lorde (1934–1992, in ihren eigenen Worten: „Schwarz, lesbisch, Mutter, Kämpferin, Dichterin“) erlebt werden können.
Die Veranstaltung ist als gemeinsames Hörerlebnis konzipiert: Es gibt einen 45-minütigen Block konzentrierten Lesens und Zuhörens, aber die Besucher*innen können
kommen und gehen, wie sie möchten und sich mit den ausgestellten Texten auf ihre eigene Weise und in ihrem eigenen Tempo auseinandersetzen.
Die Lesung findet auf Englisch statt.
Der Eintritt und die Getränke sind auf Spendenbasis.

– Egal ob du noch nie eine Nadel in der Hand hattest oder ob du Näh- oder andere Skills zum teilen hast….
– Oder komm einfach auf eine Tasse Tee und einen Schnack☕️
– Es gibt Nähmaschinen (1 Overlock) / etwas Stoff / Nadeln und Faden / Nähzubehör was du mitbringst

– N’hésite pas à apporter un patron et du tissu, ou des vêtements que tu ne portes plus – peut-être pourrons-nous les modifier ou les embellir ensemble ✨
– Fais-le toi-même et ensemble au lieu de jeter💜
– Peu importe que tu n’aies jamais tenu une aiguille ou que tu aies des compétences en couture ou autres à partager…
– Ou viens simplement prendre une tasse de thé et discuter☕️
– Il y a des machines à coudre (1 surjeteuse) / du tissu / des aiguilles et du fil / des accessoires de couture que tu peux apporter.
